Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
Social Security Disability Income or SSDI is a federal program that provides benefits to disabled individuals and their families. SSDI may be available to assist disabled wage earners who have worked enough to establish “insured” status, or even their family members including former spouses.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
Supplemental Security Income or SSI is designed to help aged, blind and disabled individuals who have little or no income and resources (less than $2,000 for individuals and $3,000 for couples). SSI recipients received a fixed monthly benefit and become eligible to receive Medicaid in the State of Georgia.
